Job Description:
For those with a yearning for the skies, the navy needs
Pilots and Observe who act as airborne tactical coordinators of marine warfare.
For this, specialized training is imparted at Goa, Kochi and other ashore and
afloat units.
How to Join:
A)
Through National Defence Academy (NDA)
(i) Type of Entry - National Defence Academy (NDA).
(Three
years training period at NDA, Khadakwasla and one year at Naval Academy, Goa).
(ii) Mode of Selection - Through Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and getting
through Service Selection Board Interview.
(iii) Advertisement

(iv) Status Awarded - Sub Lieutenant in Navy.
B)
Through Direct Entry
(i) Type of Entry - Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE)
One
year training at Naval Academy, Goa
(ii) Mode of Selection - Through Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and getting
through Service Selection Board Interview.
(iii) Advertisement
Schedule - Advertised in all National Leading

(iv) Status Awarded - Sub Lieutenant in Navy.
C)
Through Short Service Commission
(i) Type of Entry - Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE)

Qualification:

Maths
(ii) Age - Between 16½ and 19 years
B)
Through Direct Entry
(i) Academics - B. Sc. (Physics & Maths) or BE.
(ii) Age - Between 19 and 22 years
C)
NCC Special Entry
(i) Academics - B.Sc. (Physics & Maths) or BE with Naval
Wing Senior Division NCC ‘C’ Certificate.
(ii) Age - Between 19 and 24 years

Remuneration:
Starting Salary Rs. 8250, which reaches Rs. 10,050 within
6/7 years of service. (excluding other allowances).
