Job Description:
This small but crucial sub specialization is responsible
for collecting information needed for the charts used by the Indian Navy and
other Navies around the world. You have the option to remain a Surveyor
throughout your career for the sheer love of it, or opt for other shore-based
appointments.

(ii) Mode of selection - Through Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and getting
through Naval Selection Board.

B)
Short Service Commission (SSC)
(i) Type of Entry - SSC Hydro Cadre
(ii) Mode of selection - Direct Interview Naval Selection Board.

(v) Status Awarded - Sub Lieutenant in Navy.
Qualification:
A)
Cadet Entry (NDA)
(i) Qualifications - 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics.
(ii) Age - 16½ to 19 years.
C)
Short Service Commission (SSC)
(i) Qualifications - B.Sc. II Division with minimum 50% marks with Physics and Maths.
(ii) Age - 19½ - 25 years.

Remuneration:
Starting Salary Rs. 8,250, which reaches Rs. 10,050 within
6/7 years of service. (excluding other allowances)
