Job Description:
A modern warship is not only a complex fighting unit, but
it is also a mini township and community of several hundred people who have to
be fed, clothed and paid, whatever the ship’s role and whatever it may be. It
has also to be constantly supplied with fuel, water and spares for the vast
array of sophisticated equipment and machinery. At sea or on shore the
Logistics Officer has a vital part to play in the technical and human aspects
of the ship’s organization. It is a job that requires exceptional managerial
skills and the ability to work under stress and strain.

Qualification:
A)
Cadet Entry (NDA)
(i) Qualifications - 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics.
(ii) Age - 16½ to 19 years.
B)
Graduate Entry
(i) Qualifications - B.Sc. (Physics and Mathematics) or B.E.
(ii) Age - 19 to 22 years.
C)
NCC Special Entry
(i) Qualifications - B.SC. (Physics and Mathematics) or B.E. with Naval Wing Senior
Division NCC ‘C’ Certificate.
(ii) Age - 19 to 24 years.
D)
Short Service Commission (SSC)
(i) Qualifications - B.A. (Economics) II Division or B.Com II Division or Graduation
in any subject with Degree/Diploma in Material/ Financial Management.
(ii) Age - 19½ - 25 years.
Note: Women candidates are also eligible to apply
through SSC. Length of service is up to 7 years, extendable up to 10 years.

Remuneration:
Starting Salary Rs. 8250, which reaches Rs. 10,050 within
6/7 years of service. (excluding other allowances).
