Armament Inspection Officers
Job Description:
These specialist officers inspect the armaments supplied
to the Navy by various agencies. While they ensure the quality, safety and
reliability of naval armament and stores, they are also responsible for
in-house research & development leading to indigenisation.

Armament Inspection Cadre
(i) Type of Entry - National Defence Academy (NDA)
(ii) Mode of selection - Through Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and getting
through Naval Selection Board.
(iii) Advertisement Schedule - Advertised
in all National Leading Newspapers/ Employment News in Apr/May and Sep/Oct
every year.
(iv) Status Awarded - Sub Lieutenant in Navy.
Qualification:
Armament Inspection Cadre
(i) Qualifications - Degree in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Post
Graduate Degree in Electronics or Physics.
(ii) Age - 19 ½ to 25 years.

Remuneration:
Starting Salary Rs. 8,250, which reaches Rs. 10,050 within
6/7 years of service. (excluding other allowances).
