Job Description:
Nursing duties are manifold and cover a wide range of
functions and responsibilities that varies with the levels of qualification and
the working environment. Initial level nurses are required for the bedside care
of general patients, while, at senior level, they are required to manage whole
groups of people. Specialised skills are required to manage psychiatric,
paediatric, intensive care patients. They answer patients’ call bell, serve
meals, make beds and help patients eat, dress and bathe. They are also involved in dispensing
medication, keeping records, such as hourly temperature of a patient, setting
up and operating medical equipment, as also in administrative work like keeping
stock of drug and equipments.
