Job Description:

Unani treats patients in relation to their environment. Treatment given includes diet control, administration of herbal and sometimes animal– based drugs, physiotherapy and surgery. However in discharge of their duties some traditional medical practitioners rely on the knowledge and traditional wisdom imparted to them by their ancestors, many though are registered and have proper medical qualifications.

Opening:

Employment opportunities are available to qualified Unani– Tibb Hakim of the various Traditional Systems of medicine in Government Hospitals where such departments have been set up or in relevant charitable clinics, hospitals or dispensaries. They can also set up their private practice and can also impart teachings in colleges and research institutions. Manufacturers of Unani medicine also employ them.

Remuneration:

Starting salary is Rs. 7,500 per month (excluding other allowances)
